Wed. 4/2 ... feeling better

Played some good ball last night. I was up and down the court pretty easily, so I guess my fitness is pretty good. I shot the ball pretty well, which is a change from the last couple times I played. That always makes it more fun.

I did 45 pushups and 20 situps (I know, that's not many) after playing.

Wed, 4/2 ... a little sick

Didn't run yesterday due to lack of time during the day. Tues. and Thurs. are Angela's mornings, so I usually try to run/exercise during the day. In addition, I wasn't feeling very well throughout, so I don't know that I would have gone anyway.

Didn't get up this morning because was still somewhat sick/shaky/weak. Was considering a lunch run but will most likely not do anything until basketball tonight.

Mon. 4/30

Ran 5 miles with Jason but neither of us felt very good. We both felt weak and his stomach issues continued.

Sat. 4/28

Had a good 7 mile run with Jason and George. Well, Jason pulled off early again due to potential gastrointestinal issues, but we met up with him again by chance a couple miles later on in our loop. We ran the Deercreek loop, which includes a few hundred feet of uphill (have to check the GPS watch for the exact elevation rise), so it gets the blood going and keeps the average pace a little higher. But it's a pretty run and nice once you get to the top of the hills.

Fri. 4/27

Ran the Page Mill loop with Cory and Jason. Jason peeled off a bit early with internal combustion problems, and Cory barely made it to the end without having total system failure. Pretty funny actually. It's a 6 mile run with a big hill in the middle. Felt pretty good other than I was tired after a tough night with Brig.

Beautiful and cool this morning; probably high 50s for the temp - just perfect in a long-sleeve shirt. Looking forward to tomorrow's longer run (8 miles or so).

4-25-07 (cont)

Played some wicked full-court basketball Wed. evening. Experienced some slight cramping in my calf muscles toward the end of the games, which was not totally unexpected. Problem with being as tired as I was is that my jump shot suffered from my leg fatigue. Oh well.

May take rest day on Thursday.

4-25-07

4.75 hilly miles with a stop mid-run for "feats of strength", which include strength maneuvers on a set of gymnast rings in a park. Run was pretty fast, especially the last 1/2 mile trying to keep up with the Army Ranger...

Ran w/ the PA2 guys (George, Boyd, Chip, Rich, Alan)

I'm feeling yesterday's weight and box-jump workout. Basketball should be interesting tonight!
